For Immediate Release:
Wabasoft releases Waba 1.0TM
SUNNYVALE, California, Februray 14, 2000 -
Wabasoft "embraces the penguin" with its release of Waba 1.0.
The 1.0 release marks the entry of Waba into the open source
community by including full source to the Waba Virtual Machine, Foundation
Classes and SDK licensed under the same terms as Linux (the GNU license).
The Waba platform allows software developers to write an application
using Sun Microsystem's
"JavaTM Development Kit"
or the "MicrosoftTM SDK for Java" and run the
application on Windows CE Palm-sized PCs, PalmPilot devices or on
any machine that supports Java.
By including source, the 1.0 release allows developers to port Waba to
new platforms, add native functions and see how Waba works internally.
Waba Virtual Machines (WabaVMsTM) for
various platforms and a Software Development Kit (WabaSDK
TM) are available free of charge from
Wabasoft's web site: www.wabasoft.com.
